Yin Chen Hao Tang is a classical formula used to clear Damp-Heat from the Liver and Gallbladder and relieve jaundice. It is primarily indicated in patterns of Yang-type (Heat) jaundice, where Damp-Heat obstructs bile flow and impairs the Liver’s function of coursing and draining.

This formula is especially appropriate when jaundice is bright yellow and clearly associated with Heat, often accompanied by digestive discomfort and dark, scanty urine.
