Posology
Granules: 3–9g per day after meals, dissolved in hot water
Raw Herbs: Boil 1000–1200ml water, drink 1–3 cups daily
Description
Chai Hu Shu Gan San works primarily to soothe the Liver and resolve Qi stagnation.
Chai Hu guides the formula to the Liver, spreads constrained Liver Qi, and helps relieve emotional tension.
Bai Shao nourishes the blood, softens the Liver, and alleviates pain or cramping caused by Liver Qi stagnation.
Xiang Fu moves Qi, regulates menstruation, and helps relieve hypochondriac distension.
Chuan Xiong invigorates the blood, assists Qi flow, and alleviates pain.
Chen Pi regulates the middle burner, transforms dampness, and improves digestion to support smooth energy flow.
Zhi Ke helps relieve fullness and bloating by moving stagnant Qi in the chest and abdomen.
Gan Cao harmonizes the formula, moderates harsh properties, and supports Spleen function.
Together, these herbs create a balanced action of moving Qi, regulating blood, relieving emotional tension, and supporting digestive harmony.
