Symptoms

Insomnia & Sleep Disturbances: Difficulty falling asleep, frequent waking during the night, dream-disturbed sleep, or early morning awakening accompanied by restlessness.

Cognitive & Mental Signs: Poor memory, lack of focus, brain fog, mental agitation, anxiety, irritability, or emotional volatility.

Yin Deficiency & Heat Symptoms: Night sweats, hot flashes, five-palm heat (warm palms, soles, and chest), dry mouth and throat (especially at night), or tinnitus (ringing in the ears).

Physical Weakness: Soreness and weakness in the lower back and knees, dizziness, fatigue combined with an unable-to-relax state ("wired but tired").

Tongue: Red body with little coating, or thin, dry white coating.

Pulse: Thready (Xi), rapid (Shu), or wiry (Xian).

Posology

Raw Herbs

Boil in 1000–1200ml of water and drink 1 to 3 cups per day.

Granules: 3 to 9g per day, divided into two or three doses.

Note: In the event of insomnia, the higher dose should be taken 1 to 2 hours before bedtime with warm water.

Spoons:
Our measuring spoons have an approximate capacity of 0.50 g. This should be taken into consideration when following the recommended dosage instructions for each product.

Description

An Shen Bu Xin Wan works by ‘anchoring’ the floating Spirit and reconnecting the body’s vertical axis.

Zhen Zhu Mu and Dan Shen are the key ingredients; Zhen Zhu Mu (mother-of-pearl) provides the ‘heavy’ mineral weight to anchor the floating Heart Fire, whilst Dan Shen nourishes and moves the Heart Blood.

Wu Wei Zi acts as a ‘magnet’, astringing escaping energy and securing the Heart Qi to stop palpitations.

Nu Zhen Zi and Mo Han Lian (the Er Zhi Wan pair) nourish the Kidney Yin to provide the ‘water’ needed to cool the ‘fire’ above.

Shi Chang Pu ‘opens the orifices’ and clears the mists of phlegm from the Mind, improving memory and clarity.

He Huan Pi is the specific ‘Bark of Happiness’ that resolves repressed emotions and relieves anxiety.

Contraindications

STRICTLY CONTRAINDICATED in cases of severe Spleen Deficiency with acute diarrhea, heavy phlegm-dampness with a thick greasy tongue coating, or acute viral infections/fever.

Use with caution during pregnancy due to the Blood-invigorating actions of Dan Shen and Chuan Xiong.
