This formula is used for mild yang brightness organ-warp disorders with tidal fever, constipation, focal distention, and abdominal fullness, focusing on moving qi rather than aggressively purging heat. It is gentler than the principal formula, with cooked Rhei Radix et Rhizoma and reduced doses of Magnoliae officinalis and Aurantii Fructus, making it suitable for less severe qi stagnation. It also addresses early-stage dysenteric disorders, rebellious stomach qi, and supports recovery after purgation, with flexibility for clinical adjustments when yin is damaged or excess heat persists.

  • Zhi Hou Po（Prepared Magnoliae officinalis Cortex），6g
  • Zhi Zhi Shi（Prepared Aurantii Fructus immaturus ) ，9g
