Description
Si Wu Tang is the foundational formula for nourishing Liver Blood and harmonizing the blood-generating processes of the Spleen and Liver.
Shu Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata) – chief herb; strongly tonifies Kidney and Liver Yin, replenishes essence, and nourishes blood.
Bai Shao Yao (Paeoniae Radix alba) – softens the Liver, nourishes blood, calms spasms, and regulates Liver Qi in conjunction with blood tonification.
Chuan Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma) – invigorates blood circulation, ensures smooth movement of Liver Qi, and relieves pain associated with blood deficiency.
Dang Gui (Angelicae sinensis Radix) – nourishes and invigorates the blood, regulates menstruation, and complements Shu Di Huang in creating rich, well-circulated blood.
Together, the formula restores the body’s blood balance, relieves stagnation, and supports healthy Liver function, addressing both the root and branch of common blood deficiency patterns.
