This formula is indicated for constipation with hard stools, normal or frequent urination, dry yellow tongue coating, and a submerged, rapid or floating, choppy pulse. Caused by heat-dryness blocking Spleen fluid movement, leading to hard stools and downward fluid flow to the Bladder. Dry tongue reflects internal fluid depletion, while pulse indicates interior heat and possible external dryness.
