Description
Huo Xiang Zheng Qi San treats exterior wind-cold with internal Dampness accumulation, commonly seen in summer-damp conditions or after exposure to cold and damp environments combined with improper diet.
The pathogen obstructs the exterior while Dampness encumbers the Spleen and Stomach, disrupting Qi movement and causing nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and fullness.
Zi Su Ye and Bai Zhi assist in releasing the exterior and alleviating headache and chills.
Ban Xia, Chen Pi, and Hou Po regulate Qi, transform Dampness, and resolve phlegm to relieve nausea and fullness.
Bai Zhu and Fu Ling strengthen the Spleen and leach Dampness.
Jie Geng guides the formula upward and benefits the Lung.
Gan Cao harmonize the middle and protect the digestive Qi.
Together, the formula releases the exterior, transforms Dampness, restores proper Qi movement, and harmonizes the middle burner, making it especially suitable for acute gastrointestinal disorders with simultaneous exterior symptoms.
