The formula targets heat and toxins in the intestines, alleviates abdominal pain, stops bloody diarrhea, and clears both stomach and intestinal heat.

  Used for acute or chronic dysenteric disorders, especially when blood and pus are present in stools
  
• 
  Typically administered as a decoction, taken warm 2–3 times daily

  Often combined with dietary management: bland, easily digestible foods, avoid greasy, spicy, or cold foods
  

Cautions and Contraindications

• 
  Contraindicated in cold-damp diarrhea or spleen-yang deficiency
  
• 
  Not suitable for diarrhea without heat signs (no burning, no blood in stool)
