This pattern arises when cold transforms into heat in the yang brightness or lesser yin channels, causing heat and water to clash. The resulting blockage damages fluids and disrupts urination. Symptoms include fever, thirst with a desire to drink, urinary difficulty, and sometimes diarrhea, cough, nausea, irritability, or insomnia.
