Yin Chen Wu Ling San is the "gentler, wetter" cousin of Yin Chen Hao Tang. It clears the Liver/Gallbladder dampness by leaching it out through the bladder rather than purging it through the bowels.
Yin Chen (Hao) is the chief; it remains the specific herb to target the yellowing of the skin and eyes.
Ze Xie, Fu Ling, and Zhu Ling (from Wu Ling San) act as powerful diuretics that "leach out" the dampness from the lower burner.
Bai Zhu strengthens the Spleen to ensure the body can transform fluids properly and stop the dampness from regenerating.
Gui Zhi provides the "Yang spark" to the Bladder (Qi Transformation), allowing the fluids to move and be expelled.
Contraindicated for Yin Jaundice (cold-dampness with no heat signs).
Use with caution in cases of severe Kidney Yin Deficiency (dry tongue, no coat).
Not for use when jaundice is accompanied by high fever and severe constipation (use Yin Chen Hao Tang instead).
Pregnancy: Consult a professional due to the strong diuretic and moving nature of the formula.
