Characteristics: Strongly drains the Lung qi, for cough and wheezing that worsens when lying flat, and edema of the face.


Cautions: Contraindicated in those with wheezing from Lung deficiency, swelling from Spleen deficiency, or urinary dysfunction from Bladder qi deficiency, unless combined with herbs that tonlfy the Spleen and augment the qi.
