Dang Shen (Codonopsis Radix) – tonifies Qi, strengthens the Spleen, and supports Blood generation.

Huang Qi (Astragali Radix) – augments Qi, raises Yang, and strengthens defensive Qi to protect the exterior.

Bai Zhu (Atractylodis macrocephalae Rhizoma) – strengthens the Spleen, dries dampness, and stabilizes the middle burner.

Dang Gui (Angelicae sinensis Radix) – nourishes and invigorates Blood, harmonizes Qi and Blood, and alleviates pain.

Bai Shao Yao (Paeoniae Radix alba) – nourishes Blood, softens the Liver, and alleviates cramping or pain.

Chuan Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma) – invigorates Blood, promotes circulation, and disperses stasis.

Rou Gui (Cinnamomi Cortex) – warms Yang, strengthens the Kidneys, and enhances Qi and Blood tonification.

Gan Cao (Zhi) (Glycyrrhizae Radix preparata) – harmonizes the formula, tonifies Spleen Qi, and moderates harsh properties of other herbs.
