Description
Qi Bao Mei Ran Dan focuses on the "Seven Treasures" that rebuild the body's fundamental reserves.
He Shou Wu (Prepared) is the Chief; its name literally means "Black-haired Mr. He." It is the premier herb for tonifying Essence and Blood to darken hair.
Gou Qi Zi and Dang Gui support the Chief by flooding the Liver with fresh Blood and nourishing the eyes and skin.
Tu Si Zi and Bu Gu Zhi warm the Kidney Yang slightly and stabilize the Essence, ensuring the "fuel" stays in the body.
Niu Xi strengthens the sinews and bones and guides the formula’s action to the lower body.
Fu Ling promotes communication between the Heart and Kidney and ensures the heavy tonics don't cause dampness/bloating.
Contraindicated for Damp-Heat patterns (thick yellow greasy tongue coat).
Use with caution in patients with very weak digestion (He Shou Wu can be heavy).
Not for use during acute stages of cold, flu, or infection.
Liver Health: See regulatory notes below regarding He Shou Wu.
