Description
Dang Gui (Angelicae sinensis Radix) tonifies and invigorates the blood, supports circulation, and relieves pain associated with menstrual discomfort.
Shao Yao (Paeoniae Radix alba) nourishes the blood, softens the Liver, regulates Yin, and calms Liver Yang, helping relieve cramping and tenderness.
Fu Ling (Poria) strengthens the Spleen, leaches out dampness, and harmonizes the middle burner to support proper digestion and fluid metabolism.
Bai Zhu (Atractylodis macrocephalae Rhizoma) tonifies the Spleen, dries excess dampness, and stabilizes the middle burner to prevent digestive stagnation.
Chai Hu (Bupleuri Radix) spreads Liver Qi, relieves constraint, and clears mild heat, helping to regulate emotions and smooth energy flow.
Mu Dan Pi (Moutan Cortex) clears heat, cools the blood, and disperses stasis in the Liver, supporting circulation and reducing inflammation or localized heat sensations.
Zhi Zi (Gardeniae Fructus) clears constrained heat, directs energy downward, and relieves irritability and tension associated with Liver heat.
Zhi Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix preparata) harmonizes the actions of the other herbs, tonifies the Spleen, and alleviates spasms or pain caused by Liver constraint.
Bo He (Menthae haplocalycis Herba) gently vents constrained Liver Qi and heat from the upper burner, relieving sensations of pressure, heat, or emotional stagnation without excessive dispersion.
Sheng Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma recens) warms and harmonises the Stomach, supports digestion, and protects the middle burner from the cooling herbs, ensuring balance and tolerability.
Together, these herbs restore the natural flow of Liver Qi, harmonize Spleen function, and enrich the blood, addressing both the root and branch of common female and digestive imbalances.
