Menopause Formula
This is a supplemented formula of Gui Zhi Jia Long Gu Mu Li Tang. It is a formula for constitutional rectification during the perimenopausal period. It has the function to warm yang and quiet the mind. It is applicable to women during the perimenopausal period with copious sweating，joint pain，and insomnia.

Formula Composition

[Zhi］ Fu Zi（Radix Aconiti Lateralis Praeparata），10g
Gui Zhi（Ramulus Cinnamomi），15g
Bai Shao（Radix Paeoniae Alba），15g
Zhi Gan Cao（Radix Glycyrrhizae Praeparata），5g
Long Gu（Fossilia Ossis Mastodi），15g
Mu Li（Concha Ostreae），15g
Xian Ling Pi（Herba Epimedii），15g
Ba Ji Tian（Radix Morindae Officinalis），15g
Sheng Jiang（Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens），15g
Hong Zao（Fructus Jujubae），20g

Decoction
First，place Fu Ziin 800 mL water and boil for 30 minutes. Add the other medicinals and boil until 300 mL remains. Take the decoction warm，in 2 to 3 doses.

Suitable Population
For those with dull -sallow complexion，dispirited listlessness，tendency to fatigue easily，cold pain in joints，fluster，steady heat effusion，copious sweating，sleep disorders，and sunken pulse.

Suitable Diseases and Conditions

Perimenopausal syndromes，premature ovarian failure，infrequent menstruation，scanty menstrual flow，and amenorrhea.

Modifications

For dizziness and puffy swelling，combine with Zhen Wu Tang.
For menstrual irregularities，puffy swelling in face，eyes and lower extremities，and constipation，combine with Dang Gui Shao Yao San.
For sallow complexion，puffy swelling，aversion to cold，absence of sweating，and fatigue，combine with Ma Huang Fu Zi Gan Cao Tang.

Cautions

Use with caution for those with reddish complexion with sheen，floating and slippery pulse.
