PLANT DESCRIPTION

This is a modified formula based on Fang Feng Tong Sheng San. It is a formula for skin diseases. It has the function to clear heat and dissipate wind. It is applicable to diseases with intractable itchiness.

Formula Composition

  • [Sheng］ Ma Huang（Heba Ephedrae Cruda），10g
  • [Sheng］ Shi Gao（Crudum Gypsum），30g
  • [Zhi］ Da Huang（Radix et Rhizoma Rhei Praeparati），10g
  • [Sheng］ Gan Cao（Radix Glycyrrhizae Cruda），5g
  • Jing Jie（Herba Schizonepetae），15g
  • Fang Feng（Radix Saposhnikoviae），15g
  • Lian Qiao（Fructus Forsythiae），30g
  • Bo He（Herba Menthae），10g
  • Xing Ren（Semen Armeniacae Amarum），15g
  • Jie Geng（Radix Platycodonis），10g

 
TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Decoction
Place the medicinals in 600 mL water and boil until 300 mL remains. Take 150 mL of the decoction each time，2 to 3 times a day，ideally after meals.

For children，the dosage should be reduced to 1/3，or take only 30-50 mL of the decoction each time.

Cautions

This formula should not be taken on an empty stomach.If diarrhea occurs after consumption，the dosage of Da Huang should be reduced.
