Description
Ba Wei Di Huang Tang is a Yang-warming modification of Liu Wei Di Huang Tang, designed for patients with Kidney Yang deficiency accompanied by weakened warming and transformative functions. The formula strengthens Kidney Yang while preserving Kidney Yin and Essence, ensuring proper fluid metabolism and supporting the lower burner.
Shu Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata) nourishes Kidney Yin and Essence, forming the foundation of the formula.
Shan Zhu Yu (Corni Fructus) stabilizes the Kidneys and preserves Essence, supporting reproductive and urinary functions.
Shan Yao (Dioscoreae Rhizoma) strengthens the Spleen and Kidney, harmonizing digestion and fluid balance.
Fu Ling (Poria) leaches dampness and strengthens the Spleen, supporting proper fluid transformation.
Mu Dan Pi (Moutan Cortex) clears lingering fire from the Yin-deficient Kidneys, preventing heat signs.
Ze Xie (Alismatis Rhizoma) drains excess water and supports the kidney’s regulatory function of fluids.
Gui Zhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus) warms the Yang, restoring transformative and warming power to the lower burner.
Together, these herbs balance Yin and Yang, warm the lower burner, support Kidney function, and improve fluid metabolism, making it ideal for patients with cold, weakness, and Yang deficiency manifestations.
