Description
Ba Zheng San acts like a "drainpipe cleaner" for the bladder, flushing out heat and dampness simultaneously.
Mu Tong, Che Qian Zi, Bian Xu, and Qu Mai are the powerful diuretic Chiefs; they work together to open the water passages and leach damp-heat out through the urine.
Hua Shi (Talcum) creates a "slippery" environment in the urinary tract, making it easier to expel stones or debris while cooling heat.
Zhi Zi clears fire from the Triple Burner and drains it through the urine.
Zhi Da Huang ensures that the "Heat" has a downward exit through the bowels as well, preventing it from rising to the Heart.
Deng Xin Cao specifically guides Heart Fire downward into the Small Intestine (and then the Bladder).
Gan Cao harmonizes the harshness of the cold, draining herbs and relieves urinary tract spasms (pain).
STRICTLY CONTRAINDICATED during Pregnancy (due to strong downward-draining action and Da Huang).
Not for use in Urinary Frequency due to Deficiency/Cold (pale urine, cold limbs).
Use with caution in the elderly or those with weak digestion; do not use for long-term maintenance.
