This is a supplemented formula after combining Ban Xia Hou Po Tangand Zhi Zi Hou Po Tang. It is a formula for emotional disorders.It has the function to clear heat and eliminate vexation. It is applicable to patients characterized by chest oppression，vexation，agitation，red tongue，and greasy tongue coating.

Formula Composition

Zhi Zi（Fructus Gardeniae），15g
Huang Qin（Radix Scutellariae），10g
Lian Qiao（Fructus Forsythiae），15g
Zhi Ke（Fructus Aurantii），15g
[Jiang］ Ban Xia（Rhizoma Pinelliae Praeparata），15g
Fu Ling（Poria），15g
Hou Po（Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis），15g
Su Geng（Caulis Perillae），15g

Decoction
Place the medicinals in 600 mL water and boil until 300 mL remains. Take the decoction warm, in 2 to 5 doses.

Suitable Population
For those with moisturized complexion，grim frowning，frequent blinking，red lips，red throat，and eye redness； typically with main complaints of insomnia，chest oppression，and abdominal distention； tendency to have vexation，agitation，anxiety，sweating，muddle-headedness，headache，sore throat，nose bleed，rough and painful urination ； usually with red spots at the tongue tip，sticky and greasy coating，slippery and rapid pulse.

Suitable Diseases and Conditions

Anxiety，obsessive compulsive disorder，depression，perimenopausal syndrome，vasculoneurogenic headache，dysmenorrhea，acne，pharyngitis，tonsillitis，esophagitis，acute and chronic gastroenteritis，laryngeal cough，acute and chronic bronchitis，bronchial asthma，burning mouth syndrome，infantile anorexia，and infantile anaphylactoid purpura.

Cautions
[Shan] Zhi Zi and Huang Lian contain natural coloring agents. Excessive consumption of these two medicinals may lead to dark circles around the eyes, which will be relieved once this formula is discontinued.
