Nourish Yin & Clear Heat • Fluid-Generating & Mucosal Recovery Formula
Symptoms
Chronic Mucosal Inflammation: Recurrent mouth ulcers, gingivitis (bleeding gums), and a persistently "burning" or sore throat.
Profound Dryness: An intense thirst where the mouth feels like "sand," often accompanied by a dry, hacking cough or hoarseness.
Upper/Middle Burner Fire: Bad breath (halitosis) from Stomach heat, facial flushing, and red, dry eyes.
Desiccation of the Bowels: Dry, "pebble-like" stools and constipation due to a lack of lubricating fluids in the Intestines.
Key Indicator: "Heat Damaging the Yin"—where the body's "cooling system" (Yin) has been depleted by chronic heat, leading to a state of "Empty Fire" that irritates the membranes.
Tongue: Red or crimson body with little to no coating (peeled) and possible cracks.
Pulse: Thin (Xi) and rapid (Shu).

Description
The name Gan Lu (Sweet Dew) refers to the formula's ability to act like a morning mist, cooling the heat and "coating" the dry tissues of the upper body.
The Hydrating Quartet (Sheng Di, Mai Dong, Tian Dong, Shi Hu): These are the "Heavy Waters" of TCM. They specifically target the Lungs, Stomach, and Kidneys to replenish the deep fluid reserves and extinguish "thirst at the root." Shi Hu is particularly prized for treating "Stomach Yin Deficiency" and mouth sores.
The Fire Quenchers (Huang Qin & Zhi Mu): These bitter-cold herbs clear the "Qi-level" heat. Zhi Mu is unique because it clears heat while simultaneously moistening dryness, making it perfect for deficiency-heat patterns.
The Descender (Pi Pa Ye): Loquat leaf directs the rebellious Lung and Stomach Qi downward. It stops the "heat-cough" and helps soothe the stomach lining to prevent bad breath and acid reflux.
The Harmonizer (Gan Cao): It moistens the throat and coordinates the rich, heavy Yin tonics so they don't stagnate the digestion.
Posology
Granules
3 to 9g daily, divided into 2 doses, taken with warm water.
Raw Plants
Decoct in 800ml of water. Drink 1 to 2 cups daily. For mouth ulcers or gum issues, it is highly effective to "swish" the warm decoction in the mouth for 30 seconds before swallowing.
Spoons:
Our measuring spoons have an approximate capacity of 0.50 g. This should be taken into consideration when following the recommended dosage instructions for each product.
Cautions
Strictly contraindicated for Dampness or Cold (swollen tongue with white greasy coat, loose stools). Because this formula is extremely "wet" and "cloying," it will exacerbate digestive dampness and cause bloating in patients with weak Spleen Qi. Discontinue once the tongue coating begins to return and the dryness has resolved.
